The glass is made of sapphire. It’s created by crystallizing corundum, or aluminum oxide, at temperatures of 4000° F and then by molding the mixture into clear disks. This crystal is widely employed in high-end watches thanks to its resistance. As a matter of fact, it can only be scratched by diamonds.
