The battery of the watch will no longer be an issue for you. All Meccaniche Veneziane watches are equipped with mechanical automatic movements that are powered by the movement of your wrist.

We use different types of calibers. We work on the design and customization of the movements we use on our watches. All the movements are manufactured by the best producers worldwide, including ETA, Sellita, STP, Landeron and Seiko.

Yes, all Meccaniche Veneziane watches are water resistant.

All our leather straps are handmade in Italy by skilled local artisans. We use leathers obtained by traditional methods only and tanned by an environmentally friendly process. 

The glass is made of sapphire. Sapphire glasses are obtained by crystallizing aluminum oxide at a temperature of 4000° F to obtain corundum, which is subsequently molded into clear disks. This crystal is widely employed in high-end watches for its resistance. As a matter of fact, it can only be scratched by diamonds.

Shipping

We do our best to process orders within 2 working days and, in any case, no later than 1 month from the time you placed it.

In the case of orders placed outside of the European Single Market (“international orders”), they may be subject to import duties and taxes depending on the country to which it is shipped. Usually, taxes and duties are levied when the shipment reaches your country. Note, in rare occasions custom agents may delay delivery of packages until the payment is carried out. Customs fees and policies vary widely from country to country, therefore we advise you to contact your domestic customs office for further information.

In any case Meccaniche Veneziane cannot control and shall not be liable for any duties/taxes applied to your order.

You will be solely responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance.

Warranty

If you purchased a Meccaniche Veneziane product directly on our website, the warranty covers the defects that show within for two years from the original purchase date (please see our Terms&Conditions for further details). Contact us at support@meccanicheveneziane.it and we will provide you with all the assistance you need. We might ask you your order number as a proof of purchase, in addition to the warranty paper.

If you purchase from a dealer you should contact them, as they are responsible for the warranty in the first place. They might also require a proof of purchase, so we suggest you keep the original receipt and, in every case, the warranty paper. Further, please note that local rules on legal warranty apply.

In any case, our Customer Service is always available to provide you with assistance and further information.

The warranty does not cover any abuse you might put your watch through on your own. For example, it does not cover water damage due to your carelessness (e.g. if you submerge the watch in water without closing the crown), normal wear and tear, accidental glass damage, scratches, damage to the strap, or theft. A proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and service requests.

In any case, our Customer Service is always available to give you assistance and provide further information.

Regardless of where you purchased your watch, you can register your warranty on our website, under the dedicated section warranty.meccanicheveneziane.it. This will allow us to provide you with a better service. E.g. if we know your watch head number, we can target specific issues that are known to affect a certain batch and offer you tailored assistance.

Before returning to us your watch to be repaired or serviced, you must contact our customer care at support@meccanicheveneziane.it. Once we agreed to proceed to a repair or service, you should pack your watch head to send it back to us. Please send the head only. No strap, no warranty documentation, no original packaging are needed. You can add a short written note to describe the issue.

We suggest you wrap you watch head in bubbles, in a soft tissue or in several layers of kitchen paper. Then, insert it into a pack, which should be small enough for the wrapped head to fit in tightly, so to prevent it from shaking within the box during the transportation.

Pre-order Policy

When we launch a new product or a new edition of an existing one, we might decide to launch a pre-order campaign to optimize our production flow. If you purchase a pre-order watch, this means that the watch has not been physically manufactured yet, or manufacturing is currently underway. Therefore, after the purchase you need to wait a certain amount of time before your watch is delivered.

We always indicate the time when we expect to start delivering our products to customers in the relating product-page on our website.
