The name of the watch is a tribute to the Venetian submarine called Nereide which was built in the Royal Arsenale in 1913 and commissioned to the engineer De Bernardis by the Royal Navy during the First World War.
Manufactured by Meccaniche Veneziane from a hard, corrosion-resistant ceramic, the Ceramic bezel insert is virtually scratch-proof and its color is unaffected by ultraviolet rays, seawater or water that is chlorinated.
The MV285 movement is made by the Swiss manufacturer Landeron (Landeron24 base), known for the manufacture of mechanical chronograph calibers since 1925. The caliber features many decorations such as Côtes de Genève, Gold 3N treatment, and Sandblast finishing. It is equipped with 25 jewels and has a power reserve of 40 hours
GMT stands for “Greenwich Mean Time” and measures current local time as well as at least one other time-zone. It allows you to be fully connected to distant realities, by displaying an additional time zone on a 24-hour scale on the watch dial and a fourth hand.

The Swiss Made caliber MV295 is a mechanical movement with automatic winding, 25 Jewels, 28.800 bph, and a power reserve of 40 hours. The MV295 movement, developed from a Landeron 24 base, is a caliber of unquestionable reliability, it has many other functions such as bi-directional winding, hacking seconds and GMT function.
